PortView
is design to help companies begin portfolio management
and, as a visualization tool, to support those that are
well along the way.
PortView enables rapid creation of insightful charts
and analysis of NPD Portfolios by placing particular
emphasis on strategic grouping metrics. It is
designed to integrate metrics and views for multiple
project decision-making. The software includes
templates and data formats for dozens of Best-In-Class
NPD portfolio management views. PortView reads
your data directly from MS Excel. Graphics are placed in MS PowerPoint for detail
editing (if you wish),
distribution and web publishing. PortView
incorporates numerous features to enable users to
quickly
set up views, draw lines, add text, filter data, label
bubbles, create zoom-in charts, expose high level strategic
grouping views and share output effortlessly.
Priced to put on a credit card, not in a capital budget plan.
Using
PortViewTM
PortView reads the data from its source (e. g., an MS Excel
spreadsheet) and puts it into its own memory.
Users then assign the variables or data fields to how they wish to view them.
With each assignment, user may watch how the data
appears. Once the view looks the way the user wishes, they simply save it, print it, or create a PowerPoint slide from it. Because
PortView creates Microsoft Windows Metafiles (wmf
- the same vector graphic type that PowerPoint
uses), users also have full editing capabilities over every detail of views from within PowerPoint...
ungroup, resize, group, change fonts, recolor and even publish to the
web.
